Yasamin Mikhchi

I was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and grew up in Pensacola, Florida. My passion for wildlife began early- I rehabbed my first set of baby squirrels at just eight years old, and my love for animals has only grown since. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in multiple zoos, conservancies, and private animal sanctuaries.

In 2021, I decided to focus on the medical side of animal care. I graduated from the Pensacola State College Veterinary Technology program in May 2023 and became a certified veterinary technician later that year. I joined Cordova in April 2024, where I’ve loved continuing to learn and grow in the field.

My favorite patients are the elderly kitties — they hold a special place in my heart.
